Disc Golf at North Salk Park
(3160 Owl Dr.)
Disc golf is brand new to the Rolling Meadows Park District and is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc or frisbee. The disc/frisbee is thrown from a tee to a basket, which is the “hole”. As a player progresses down the fairway, he or she must make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw landed. Finally, the “putt” lands in the basket and the hole is completed. The object is to throw the disc/frisbee from the tee area to the target “basket” in the fewest number of throws. There are twelve (12) holes to be played along Salk Park and both sides of Salt Creek. Come enjoy our newest activity!

Youth Athletics
We provide a wide variety of youth athletic opportunities ranging from introductory levels to the competitive level. Youth athletic opportunities are available on an individual level with Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing and Archery and a team format with Basketball and T-Ball. A complete listing of youth athletic offerings can be found in each seasonal brochure.
To help insure the health and safety of young athletes, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed the "Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports" initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents and athletes involved in youth sports. The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing and responding to a concussion. Rolling Meadows Park District encourages all coaches, parents and athletes to be redirected to the CDC's "Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports" at this link: http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/youth.html

Tennis
The Rolling Meadows Tennis Program has received rave reviews. The programs are under the direction of the Midwest Tennis Camps, LLC. This program has expanded to offer classes for youth and adults at all levels based on the National Tennis Rating Program. In addition, there are special adult weekend programs. Our tennis program offers an excellent opportunity to receive professional tennis instruction at a fraction of the costs charged by private clubs and resorts.
