Early Childhood/Tot Programs
General Information
Early Childhood classes at the Rolling Meadows Park District are geared to age appropriate skill development for young children. Classes are designed to help children develop emotionally, socially and intellectually while at the same time fostering the growth of small and large motor skills.
Tot Classes
A variety of teacher directed tot classes are offered beginning with a baby exercise class and ending with a one hour “away from parent class” which is designed to prepare your child for preschool. Class themes include music, motor skill development and opportunities to have a first experience with different types of arts and crafts materials in a casual, semi-structured setting.
In addition, we offer a babysitting service in our tot activity room. Participants range in age from 1mos.-finishing kindergarten.
Preschool & Pre-K Classes
Our preschool classes offer the unique opportunity to move to different interest areas during the course of the daily schedule. We strive to initiate an interest in learning and discovery while at the same time developing self-esteem and readiness for kindergarten. Classes are offered T/TH, MWF and also M-F for older 4’s and children who miss the 9/1 kindergarten cut off date. Preschoolers participate in several educational and fun field trips throughout the year.
