Rolling Meadows Park District Recognized for Strong Financial Reporting

 Rolling Meadows Park District has received its first Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

Awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The comprehensive financial report has been judged by an impartial panel to ensure the District meets the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential user groups to read the report.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition,” said Rolling Meadows Park District Executive Director Nick Troy. “The Park Board of Commissioners, along with staff, believe achieving this distinction represents a significant accomplishment, reflecting the organization’s dedication to financial accountability and transparency in serving the Rolling Meadows community. This award is a testament to our ongoing commitment to upholding the highest standards in financial management and reporting. We will continue to strive for excellence and ensure we are providing our residents with clear and reliable information on the financial health of Rolling Meadows Park District.”

The Certificate of Achievement was awarded to the District for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended on April 30, 2023.
