Updated Information on COVID-19 - March 12
Thursday, March 12, 2020
Rolling Meadows Park District is committed to the health and safety of our participants, guests and staff. The District continues to monitor the rapidly changing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, along with the guidelines and safety information released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Cook County Department of Public Health.
We will continue to rely on these subject matter experts to provide us with guidance going forward, and depending upon the direction provided, will adapt our approach as necessary.
As previously communicated, in order to help limit the spread of the virus, Rolling Meadows Park District has implemented an accelerated cleaning regimen at all facilities. High-traffic areas including counters, handrails, door knobs and drinking fountains are cleaned throughout the day.
The Rolling Meadows Park District is continuing to operate as normal, if conditions change we will alert participants and guests; along with posting updates on our website. However, we understand each individual needs to make health and safety decisions that are best for them and their family. If you feel it is best to not participate in a program or event, then please honor your instincts.
In the meantime, we advise participants, guests and staff to protect others and stay home when they are sick, wash hands frequently with soap and warm water (20 seconds), and cover coughs and sneezes. Please contact your healthcare provider immediately if you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as a cough or difficulty breathing.
The health and safety of our participants, guests and staff have always been and continue to be our highest priority.
