Trex Recycling Program

Rolling Meadows Park District has opted in to the Trex Company recycling challenge to collect 500 pounds of plastic refuse or 40,000 pieces of film or bags that are not recycled by Waste Management. Bring any of the below items to the Community Center Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. If we can reach the goal of 500 pounds, the Rolling Meadows Park District will receive a bench for one of parks made from the recycled content!

We are looking to recycle the following items:

• Grocery bags
• Bread bags
• Bubble wrap
• Dry cleaning bags
• Newspaper sleeves
• Ice bags
• Plastic shipping envelopes
• Ziploc and other resealable food storage bags
• Cereal bags
• Case overwrap
• Salt bags
• Pallet wrap & stretch film
• Wood pellet bags
• Produce bags
